join the tribe night

December 7th, 2015 marked the first annual Join the Tribe Night sponsored by the MCC Indians Boosters Club.  Free admission courtesy of McCook Community College was offered to all fans resulting in a large crowd for a Region IX doubleheader between the hometown Indians and Northeastern Junior College.  MCC fans were given a free Indians rally towel as they entered the Event Center provided by McCook National Bank.

The Lady Indians stayed perfect on the season moving to 12-0 with a 74-51 drubbing of the Plainswomen.  Sophomores Kendra Baucom and Brooksie McWilliams recorded double digits in both points and rebounds in the contest.

The Nebraska State Patrol excited the crowd during intermissions by shooting t-shirts out of a cannon to lucky fans.  Laughs also rolled through the audience as contestants paraded the Event Center court for the Ugly Sweater contest that took place during halftime of the Men's ballgame.

A nail biter through out the second half and overtime period, the Men's contest saw the Indians battle back from a 17 point deficit in regulation and a 6 point deficit in overtime to stun the NJC Plainsmen.  Indians fans stormed the court following a Hakim Davis jumper that fell through the hoop with 2.5 seconds remaining giving the Indians a 93-92 overtime win and moving their record to 10-1 on the season.
